PURCHASING AND SHIPPING
I am an abstract artist who wants you to be happy with your new painting. Until I set-up an online shop, please click here to message me about the piece you like with any questions and I will answer as soon as possible. Details about purchasing and shipping are listed below.
How are payments handled
Payments are taken via invoice through the secure PayPal payment systems in U.S. dollars to make the online payment process very easy. PayPal accepts all credit card payments. You do not need to have a PayPal account to purchase; you can use the PayPal service to pay with your regular debit or credit card. I do not store any of your debit/credit card details. Should you decide you want to make a purchase, I will email you an invoice. I can also use an invoice the secure Square system should you prefer that.
Can I purchase with installments?
If you would like to purchase an original painting of $500 or over, you are welcome to purchase on installment and layaway. This can be a helpful option when you've found an artwork that you love but can't pay the full amount today. A 50% deposit is payable to hold your painting. The balance can be paid the following month or in 2 monthly payments of 25% each. Please contact me if you are interested in arranging this payment plan.
How soon will I receive my painting after placing the order?
Original paintings will be packed and shipped within 5 working days. Artworks are sent through the U.S. Postal Service, or UPS, depending on size and weight. Most U.S. deliveries arrive within 2 to 5 days from time of shipping. Please allow 10 working days in total. If you need delivery by a specific date, please contact me first to make sure it can reach you in time. There may be an extra charge for rush deliveries according to your requirements.
Can I collect my artwork from your studio?
Yes, if you are local, pick-up is a choice. We can work a time to meet once you have placed your order. My home is in Watertown, MA.
Is shipping included?
Shipping for most artworks is included for most locations in the United States. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or international shipping will incur additional costs, and need to be worked out before purchasing the artwork as they will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please be aware that the international buyer is responsible for any duty or customs fees.
What about large or high-value artworks?
I understand this is a high-value purchase – and an artwork I have spent much time on! It's important to both of us to make sure it is transported safely. Some couriers have limits on dimensions or what they will carry so certain pieces have individual requirements. This will be noted in the shipping details with each product listing. Shipping costs for large artworks need to be quoted individually – please contact me before purchasing. I will then contact you via email to discuss specialist shipping options before the artwork is dispatched. In order to secure the painting, the shipping cost will be billed separately after agreement.
Can you ship internationally?
Yes, I can ship to most countries, although it will take longer to arrive depending on your location. If your location is restricted once you get to the checkout you will need a bespoke courier service. Message me with your details and the piece you would like and I can give you shipping options.
Overseas shipments (outside the U.S.) may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. The international customer is responsible for any customs charges.
What if my painting arrives and it's not really what I wanted?
I want you to be totally happy with your new artwork so I offer a Buy-Back agreement. If an original painting is not what you were expecting, you have 14 days to contact me by email and request a refund. Once a return has been agreed upon, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery using the same service that it was sent to you with. When the piece has been safely returned I will refund your payment (minus any shipping charges I have paid) within 14 days.
What if my painting arrives damaged?
All work is carefully packed and wrapped. If you receive a work that has been damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days with a photograph of the damage and we will figure out what needs to be done to make it right.
What about Overseas Returns?
International returns will be accepted when the painting has been returned safely. At that time your payment will be returned, less the international shipping charges.
